fresh off the back of two sensational UK tours as a very special guest with Elvis Costello. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

During the pandemic, Ian treated us to an incredible online FB show spanning 40 episodes that kept our spirits high. And let’s not forget his last two albums, which are being hailed as his best work since his Pele days in 1991. 🎶

Pele, the band Ian was part of, stormed onto the scene, signing with Polydor Records and rocketing to Number 1 in South Africa. Their UK tours alongside The Pogues and Del Amitri set stages ablaze, with their first three singles making BBC Radio 1’s playlist.

Ian then gave birth to Amsterdam, a musical force that even had John Peel shedding tears of awe during live broadcasts of their classic track “Does This Train Stop On Merseyside.” Legend Christy Moore covered this gem, propelling it to Number 1 on the Irish LP charts. Their journey continued as they signed with the esteemed indie label Beat Crazy, crashing into the top 40 with their first single at no.32.

Often hailed as the Scouse Springsteen, Ian’s live performances have left crowds spellbound at prestigious festivals like Reading, Glastonbury, and Kendal Calling. And now, in an exhilarating turn of events, he’s set to grace the stage in Leap for the very first time!

Among Ian’s admirers are luminaries like Damien Dempsey, Jean Jaques Burnel, the late Janice Long, Gary Crowley, Mick Jones, and Chris Addison – a high-profile fan club that attests to his remarkable songwriting talent.

Don’t miss your chance to witness the magic as Ian Prowse brings his electrifying presence and sensational music to Connollys of Leap. It’s a night you’ll remember forever!
