AL GIBBS

Dublin-born DJ and producer Al Gibbs has spent over 25 years as one of Ireland’s most established names in dance music.

Gibbs has played major festivals and venues across Ireland, the UK, Ibiza, Marbella and beyond, building an incredible reputation for his live shows along the way. A former Pacha resident and Ibiza favourite, he has shared stages with some of the biggest names in dance music, including Carl Cox, Frankie Knuckles, Sasha & Digweed, Deadmau5 and Danny Tenaglia.

A familiar name on Irish radio, Gibbs won a Silver PPI National Radio Award for his specialist dance music show Freaks. His radio career has included FM104, Cork’s 96FM and Limerick’s Live 95.

Gibbs is no stranger to the charts either. At just 19, he co-wrote Mark McCabe’s Maniac 2000, one of the biggest-selling independent Irish number ones. His own releases have also reached the Irish Top 10 and topped the dance charts, with music released through labels including Toolroom, Universal and Hedkandi.

From club rooms to festival stages, Al Gibbs has spent decades doing what he does best — playing records and filling dance floors.
